We release a limited 3 casks of Bivrost® Whisky per year for private ownership. These are exclusive, handpicked casks which can be purchased by privates or companies. Join our waiting list to register your interest.
HOW IT WORKS:
Choose your cask
Once our Terms & Conditions are signed, and the payment is done, you are the proud owner of the agreed – upon cask.
Time to mature
Your cask will mature in our warehouse in the Arctic air for up to 10 years in our full size casks.
Visit your cask
Cask owners will be invited to exclusive Cask Owners Events and will be able to sample their maturing spirit at set times agreed with the distillery.
Bottling
We will bottle your spirit at standard industry bottling rates. The bottling can take place in UK or any other agreed – upon place.

2024/252 – AMONTILLADO 250 L.
Crafted by the renowned Tonelería J.L. Rodríguez, this 250-liter Sherry cask embodies Spanish tradition and excellence. Made from European oak, the cask has been seasoned with Sherry wine, infusing it with rich, nutty aromas and a deep complexity that enhances the aging of spirits with layers of dried fruit and subtle spice.
The barley that was used for the New make is Maris Otter, from Crisp. It was fermented with Kveik yeast and distillers yeast.
PRELIMINARY TASTING NOTES:
Nose: Punchy and full of character. Bright tropical fruits — mango, pineapple, and papaya — sit alongside a rich, grainy malt backbone.
Palate: Big and assertive. The fruit comes in first — juicy and vibrant — then gives way to a strong, malty bite. Toast, cereal, and a touch of spice cut through the fruit, adding grip and structure. The oily mouthfeel carries everything with real weight.
Finish: Long, warming.

2024/222 – Ex Bourbon, Re-charred at Aurora, 200 l.
Our STR (Shaved, Toasted & Re-charred) casks are crafted from Bourbon barrels that we have carefully rejuvenated in-house using the STR method — shaved, toasted, and re-charred — to create a fresh and highly active cask. This process opens up the oak, allowing the spirit to interact deeply with the wood and pull rich layers of flavor. Expect bold notes of red berries, dark chocolate, spice, and subtle smokiness. STR casks are a modern innovation favored by connoisseurs and collectors for their complexity and vibrant character. These casks mature relatively quickly and can produce remarkable whisky in just a few years.
The malt used to produce this whisky is “Frutopia”, which is our signature Norwegian floor malt, crafted with a deliberate focus on flavor. The malt is produced in small batches using traditional floor malting techniques, allowing for full enzymatic development and natural flavor retention. The name Frutopia comes from the fruity esters this malt tends to produce during fermentation — think of apple, pear, and orchard fruit notes shining through the spirit. Grown and malted in Norway, this barley brings terroir and authenticity to your cask — a truly local ingredient that embodies the spirit of the north. For those seeking a unique and characterful whisky, Frutopia casks offer an exceptional starting point.
PRELIMINARY TASTING NOTES:
Nose: Bold and expressive. Tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, and papaya lead, underpinned by rich, malty grain. A hint of toasted wood adds warmth and depth, while a subtle phenolic edge brings a gentle earthiness without any smoke.
Palate: Full-bodied and oily. Juicy tropical notes open up quickly, followed by a strong malty bite — think crushed barley and warm cereal. The toasted wood adds a nutty, slightly charred layer that balances the fruit, while a light phenolic note brings complexity and structure.
Finish: Long and satisfying. Malt and fruit persist, joined by lingering toasted wood and a clean, earthy dryness. A touch of warmth from the phenols adds quiet definition.

2024/272 – Quarter Cask Bourbon 120 l.
Our Bourbon casks are sourced from USA, where they’ve previously matured high-quality American bourbon. These barrels are made from American white oak, which imparts classic vanilla, caramel, and coconut notes to the whisky. At Aurora Spirit, we fill these casks with our fine new make spirit, allowing the soft northern climate to slowly develop rich, rounded flavors. Bourbon casks are a timeless choice for whisky maturation, offering an elegant and smooth profile with great consistency — ideal for investors looking for a classic expression with broad appeal.
This cask has also been filled with New make, made with Frutopia, Norwegian floor malted barley.
