the Arctic Whisky Experience
One of our experienced staff members will guide you through the process of manufacturing various types of spirits, such as vodka, aquavit, gin and whisky at the world’s northernmost distillery. You’ll get a glimpse into the mysterious past of Viking age drinking customs, making moonshine in Northern Norway, and learn about hi-tech alcohol production on top of the world.
Part of this tour takes place outside (walking between buildings) and spending time in cold warehouses. We recommend to bring adequate clothing for this.
During this exciting guided tour, you will see, feel and smell Arctic ingredients. The tour includes 3 tastings.

the Select Cask Experience
This is a more in – depth tour for the Whisky enthusiast. You will get a guided tour through the distillery and both of our cask – warehouses. On the Select Cask Experience we will also open up special Whisky barrels and you will get to smell and taste exclusive products, straight from the barrel.
Part of this tour takes place outside (walking between buildings) and spending time in cold warehouses. We recommend to bring adequate clothing for this. During the tour we will take you on a journey from grain to bottle, where you get in-depth information about the world’s northernmost Whisky.
DURATION: ca. 1 1/2 hours
VISITING: Still house, Production, Bunker, Viking warehouse
TASTE: Single cask Whiskies.

the Distillery Founder´s Experience
Get the unique stories, the background, and other interesting information from one of the Founders, Tor Petter W. Christensen, as you walk around the Distillery together.
Learn about Bivrost hand-crafted spirit and our selection of the finest oak casks that we use to craft our different products. During the trip with Tor you will have the exclusive opportunity to taste a selection of our finest products, including our Whiskies.

Directions:
AuroraSpirit Distillery is located at Lyngen Resort, under the majestic Lyngen Alps in Northern Norway. The distillery is located at 69 degrees N.
The nearest airport is Langnes Airport , Tromsø. From Tromsø you can drive either:
– via Nordkjosbotn ( E8 – then E6 ) and turn off from Oteren towards Lyngseidet (868), or
– via Breivikeidet ( Turn off at Fagernes – route no. 91 ) by ferry across the Ullsfjord
Both roads are signposted towards Lyngseidet .
When you get to Lyngseidet, follow the road towards Koppangen (approx. 10 km). Lyngen Resort is located on the right side of the road .

Where are you located?
Do I get to taste Whisky?
Yes, we offer small tastings as part of the guided tours. There is also the opportunity of having a Guided Whisky Tasting, as a separate product that you can book.
Can we buy bottles of Bivrost at the distillery?
Unfortunately, we cannot sell our products directly from the distillery. According to Norwegian law, wine and spirits for personal consumption may only be sold at the Vinmonopolet, the government-run alcohol retailer. An outlet is located approx. 10 km from the distillery.
Is it suitable for children?
The guided tour is suitable for children. We have a child rate for purchase at the front desk. Children can also get a soft drink and wait in the lounge. We will take care of entertaining them.
ARCTIC HISTORY TRAIL
MON – SUN ANY TIME. Price: FREE. Follow the marked path, and learn about our Arctic heritage!
Duration: about 20 – 30 minutes. Level: Easy – moderate. Please be careful if you venture into the Second World War bunker (as it’s dark and haunted).
