Aurora Spirit has established a unique distillery that attracts international attention with its spectacular location. The Lyngen alps, the fjord, the northern lights and the arctic wilderness provide an excellent setting for making whisky and other alcohol products under the brand name Bivrost. The products are based on local herbs, berries and melted glacier water.

Our opening hours for visitors are from 11 – 15, MO-FR. (For special requests and groups we can offer other options).

Our most popular experience is the “Arctic Distillation Experience“, which is normally conducted at 13.00 and 14.00 (MO – FR).

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us. Let our customers do the talking!

“Interesting tour of the distillery where we were told and shown how production takes place and some history about ÅRØYBUKT . Impressive! Then tasting of different whiskys. Here we learned whole new things about whisky, both about the products and how to learn to recognize flavors . Nice and good staff and good service. Recommended!” Jim Are Hansen

“Amazing place, such a great job & both the architecture and design is stunning. We were lucky enough to have a grand tour of both the distillery and the cold war bunker and they are a must for people visiting Lyngen. Unique and special, just like the landscape. Cant wait to sample the whisky, when its finished!” Sarah Burrows

“Great concept in spectacular surrondings. Friendly staff with extreme knowledge. Highly recommended. Exciting!” Roy H Karlsen
